The Relationship Between Climate-Related Weather Hazards and Chemical Storage/ Emergency Preparedness

Chemical Risk Management addresses the risks that harmful chemicals pose to humans and the environment. Chemical resiliency involves identifying and implementing measures to mitigate impacts from those potential hazards and risks, such as containment controls, emergency response preparation, redundancies, safety systems, and continuity plans. This webinar explores how changes in weather can affect the spread of these chemicals and discusses the new RMP rule, the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 and the 2018 American Water Infrastructure Act, which all help manage hazardous chemical risks. Additionally, the webinar provides ideas and solutions for protecting chemical storage units, including installation, stormwater controls, fire barriers and more.
