WINDSOR, Conn. – TRC Companies, a digitally powered and environmentally focused global professional services firm, has been recognized by Environmental Business Journal®* (EBJ), for its work with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro).

TRC Companies was chosen for its early environmental demolition and soil excavation to prepare a former BNSF railroad right-of-way (ROW) for future construction of the Metro Rail to Rail Active Transportation (bike path) Corridor. The project promotes Metro’s environmental justice policy by addressing legacy pollution in the community and improving connectivity through more public transit options in a disadvantaged, mixed-use commercial and residential area in South Los Angeles.

“We are proud to be part of the growth and advancement of Los Angeles,” said Mark Robbins, President, Environmental Sector at TRC Companies, Inc. “TRC is committed to supporting its local communities reach a greener and more sustainable future.”

Small and minority-owned firms completed 75 percent of the work, and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise firms completed 5 percent with no OSHA recordable incidents.
