Since 1994, TRC has been continuously retained under consecutive contracts with Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) to perform on-call asbestos, lead, air quality, hazardous materials and structure demolition consulting services as well as soil and groundwater consulting services. TRCs services are led by seasoned professionals with decades of experience, certified as PEs, CIHs, CSPs, CMCs, CHMMS and LEPs.
TRC’s On-Call Asbestos, Lead, Air Quality and Structure Demolition Services include:
- Site investigations for hazardous materials (ACM, LBP, PCB, etc.)
- In-house analytical laboratory sample analysis
- Abatement/Demolition for development of design specifications and on-site project monitoring oversight
- Regulatory consultation
- Air, dust and substrate sampling, exposure assessment and clearance/verification testing
- Waste characterization, recycling and management
- Indoor air quality investigations
- Mold assessments
- Residential lead hazard reduction
- Project management and oversight
- Detailed project documentation and contractor invoice review
TRC’s On-Call Environmental Soil and Groundwater Compliance Services include:
- Due diligence investigations for corridor projects, site acquisitions and facilities undergoing improvements
- Characterization of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water impacts
- Development of technical plans and specifications to manage segregation, handling, reuse and disposal of contaminated environmental media
- Provision of technical EHS supervision
- Regulatory compliance support
- Enforcement of H&S procedures
- Oversight of project construction activities within areas of environmental concern
- Phase I ESAs
TRCs services are completed on an on-call and emergency response basis throughout Connecticut. Sites include Right of Way acquisitions of residential dwellings, gas stations, commercial buildings, maintenance facilities, office buildings, bus facilities, rail yards/stations, highway and rail bridges and airports.
